2DU reaches an audience of up to 65,000 listeners. Dubbo
city is the largest population centre in our market, with our signal also
serving many surrounding towns, including Narromine, Gilgandra,
Wellington, Coonamble, Cobar, Peak Hill, Coonabarabran, Dunedoo, Warren,
Trangie, Mendooran, Nyngan, Yeoval and Gulargambone.
2DU is the
'heritage' commercial station in the Dubbo radio market. The other
stations in our market include our sister FM station ZOO FM, four ABC
stations (Radio National, ABC Classic FM, Western Plains and the Triple J
Youth Network), narrowcast stations (including 2KY
racing), a commercial FM station (Star FM) and a community station - Radio Rhema.

Dubbo is located
in the mid-west of NSW at the junction of two major inland transport
routes - the Newell Highway (Melbourne-Brisbane) and the Mitchell
Highway (East-West). Dubbo is a rich agricultural centre as well as
a regional hub for a number of government departments. A prosperous
city, Dubbo has a large retail sector and a steadily increasing

It's official -
for the 3RD CONSECUTIVE RADIO SURVEY*, 2DU IS THE
NUMBER ONE STATION OVERALL in the Dubbo Radio Licence Area. 2DU leads
total market share, particularly that of our core audience - all
people 40+.
2DU has maintained it's premier position as the most
popular radio station in the Dubbo market according the the results
released by Nielsen Media Research. The results show 2DU is the number
one station with all people over 10 years of age, with 35.9% of
the audience. In second place is Star FM with 25.7%, Zoo FM 3rd with
12.9% and ABC Western Plains fourth with 10.3%.

2DU's Peter
Leslie (Breakfast), Leo de Kroo (Mornings) and Mark Lynch (Afternoons)
all won their shifts. The station was also number one at weekends and
with the all-important grocery buyers. The figures are also pleasing for
our advertisers - combined with sister station Zoo FM's result,
advertisers can reach 48.8% of all listeners - virtually double that of
our competitor.
